Getting started
5 questions

AllSet is a secure digital vault where you store and organise the information and documents your loved ones would need if something happened to you - things like bank accounts, insurance policies, property documents, your will, medical details, and important contacts.

You set it up once, at your own pace. Then when the time comes, your trusted person can access everything in one place, instantly - without searching through paperwork, calling banks, or piecing things together while grieving.

Most people get their vault into good shape in 1–2 hours. But you don't have to do it all at once - AllSet is designed to be built up over time. You can start with the most important things (identity documents, key financial accounts, your will) and add more whenever you like.

There's no deadline, no pressure. Even a partially filled vault is significantly better than nothing.

Not at all. AllSet is designed to be used by anyone, regardless of technical ability. If you can use a website, you can use AllSet. The same applies to your trusted contact - they don't need an account, an app, or any tech knowledge to access your vault when needed. Just a printed key and a web address.

No. AllSet is a personal organisation tool - not a legal service. We help you store and organise your information so the right people can find it. We do not provide legal advice, validate documents, or act as an executor or trustee.

For legal matters - like creating a will or granting power of attorney - you should consult a qualified solicitor or legal professional. AllSet is a great complement to those services, not a replacement for them.

AllSet is for anyone who wants to make sure the people they love are never left searching. That includes:

  • Parents who want their children to have access to everything they need
  • Couples who want each other to be prepared
  • Anyone who's been through the experience of sorting out a loved one's affairs and never wants to put their family through the same thing
  • People who are simply organised and want one secure place for the important stuff

You don't have to be old, unwell, or facing anything difficult to use AllSet. The best time to set it up is before you need it.

Your vault
5 questions

Your vault is organised across nine categories:

  • Identity - passports, IDs, birth certificates
  • Financial - bank accounts, investments, pensions
  • Insurance - life, health, home, and car policies
  • Property - deeds, mortgages, rental agreements
  • Legal Documents - wills, powers of attorney, trusts
  • Digital Accounts - subscriptions, email accounts, logins
  • Medical - conditions, medications, GP details
  • Emergency Contacts - solicitors, accountants, family
  • Other - anything else that matters to you

Within each category you can add text entries, upload documents, and leave notes for your trusted contact.

You can upload PDFs, images (JPG, PNG), and scanned documents. The maximum file size per upload is 25MB. Your total storage depends on your plan - 500MB for Standard plans, 5GB for Advanced.

Yes. You have full control over your vault at all times. You can edit any entry, update documents, or delete items whenever you like. There are no restrictions on how often you update your vault - keeping it current is exactly what we'd encourage.

Vault export is available on the Complete plan. You can generate a printable PDF version of your vault, designed to be stored securely with your important documents or shared with trusted family members if needed.

Absolutely not. AllSet is designed to be built gradually. Start with the most important categories - usually Identity, Financial, and Legal - and add the rest over time. You can return to your vault whenever you have a few minutes to add something new or update an existing entry.

Trusted access & secret keys
7 questions

When you add a trusted contact, AllSet generates a unique secret key for them. You print that key as a simple page and store it somewhere safe - typically with your will, or hand it directly to your trusted person.

When they need it, they go to allset.life/access, enter the key, and can immediately view your vault. No account needed, no app to download, no technical knowledge required on their end.

Anyone you trust to act in your family's best interests - your partner, an adult child, a close family member, your solicitor, or your executor. There's no right or wrong answer.

The most important thing is that they know the key exists and where to find it. It's worth having a brief conversation with them so they're not surprised if they ever need to use it.

By default, a trusted contact can view everything in your vault - all nine categories. Access is read-only, meaning they can never edit, delete, or add anything.

⭐️ Advanced plan

If you're on the Advanced plan, you can set per-category permissions - so for example, you could give one person access only to Financial and Legal, and another person access only to Medical.

Yes - technically, anyone with the physical key can access the vault at any time. This is by design. The key is meant to be simple to use when it's needed, without any additional steps or verification processes.

This is why choosing your trusted contact carefully, and storing the key securely, is important. If you ever want to restrict access, you can generate a new key at any time, which immediately invalidates the old one.

You can generate a new key at any time from your account settings. The moment you do, the old key is permanently invalidated - it will never work again. You then print and distribute the new key to your trusted contact.

This also means if you ever change your mind about who should have access, you just generate a new key, hand it to the new person, and the previous key is gone.

Yes. AllSet keeps a log of every time your vault is accessed using a trusted contact's key. You can see the date, time, and IP address of each access event from your account settings.

This gives you complete visibility over who has been into your vault and when - so you're never left wondering. If you ever see access you didn't expect, you can immediately generate a new key to revoke it.

Note that the log shows when the vault was accessed, but not which specific items were viewed - your trusted contact has read-only access to the categories you've permitted, and all of that is recorded at the access level.

Essential includes: 1 trusted contact and 1 emergency access key. Complete includes: up to 5 trusted contacts and multiple independent emergency access keys. You remain in full control and can revoke or replace access at any time.

Security & privacy
5 questions

Every file and piece of information you store in AllSet is encrypted at rest using AES-256 - the same standard used by banks and governments. All data in transit between your device and our servers is encrypted with TLS 1.3.

Your data is stored on enterprise-grade EU infrastructure (Frankfurt, Germany), meaning it never leaves Europe and is subject to the strongest data protection laws in the world.

No. Your vault data is encrypted and access-controlled so that only you - and the trusted contacts you've authorised - can view it. No AllSet employee or support agent has the ability to read your documents or vault entries.

Yes. AllSet is an EU-registered company and stores all data in the EU. We are fully compliant with GDPR. You have the right to access, correct, export, and permanently delete your data at any time, just contact us or delete your account directly from your settings.

Never. AllSet does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for commercial or marketing purposes. We only share data with the service providers strictly necessary to operate AllSet (for example, our payment processor), and all such providers are contractually bound to GDPR standards.

When you delete your account, all your vault data, uploaded documents, and account information are permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems. This cannot be undone, so we recommend exporting your vault (Advanced plan) before deleting if you'd like to keep a copy.

Yes. AllSet is a web-based product, so you can log in and access your vault from any device with a browse - desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone. There's no app to download.

You can reset your password at any time using the "Forgot password" link on the login page. A reset link will be sent to the email address associated with your account.

If AllSet were ever discontinued, users would receive advance notice and time to export their information. Complete users can generate printable vault exports at any time, ensuring they always have an offline copy of their information available independently of AllSet.

Complete includes ongoing storage, security infrastructure, alerts, exports, and premium protection features that require continued maintenance over time. We intentionally avoid monthly subscriptions because AllSet is designed to feel calm, simple, and long-term - not like another recurring app subscription.

Your vault and data are never deleted. If Complete is cancelled, your account reverts to the Essential plan limits. You'll still have access to your core vault and information.

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account permanently removes all your vault data, uploaded documents, and account information from our systems. This cannot be undone, so we recommend exporting your data first if you'd like to keep a copy.
